After spending nearly 30 years as Managing Director of my own business in Bucks my family and I moved to this delightful part of Devon to find a different life style, we have and we all love it.
We opened the Cottages in December 2006 after completely renovating them, we are graded 4 & 5 Star plus a GOLD award for Stable Cottage, this award is given to the very best accommodation in England with only the top 20% of Five Star properties achieving this award ( inspected 13th June 2011) by Visit Britain, we are also proud to announce a GOLD award from Green Tourism Business Scheme June 2011, these grades are difficult to achieve and clearly state our commitment to the environment and quality, you will not find a stale or tired cottage here, every thing is constantly monitored for quality , we check everything in great detail between clients leaving and new ones arriving. We will accept your grocery order from Tesco , Sainsbury's or Waitrose and put the items requiring refrigeration away for you, so you can start to enjoy your holiday as soon as you arrive, why start your holiday with a visit to a supermarket ?. We also include cream tea, milk and fresh flowers all waiting for you on your arrival.
Our Cottages and house are set in 20 acres of our own land where you will see our horses grazing and an abundance of wildlife, we are members of Devon Wildlife Trust which is the only organisation exclusively concerned with all aspects of wildlife conservation in Devon. The gardens are maintained constantly so that you will enjoy your stay to the full at Long Chimney, just think you could be enjoying a nice relaxing time in your cottage and if you have children, they can be enjoying themselves in the games room just a short distance away. We are also able to offer a Fitness Room / Gym & Sauna all included free of charge for the exclusive use of our guests. Wi-Fi is available in all cottages. All our Mattresses & Pillows are Hypoallergenic / Anti Allergy products. There is also a good selection of board games in all cottages
In conclusion , we have put everything that we found missing in the cottage accommodation we rented as tourists to Devon, into Long Chimney Farm Cottages, that's why we invite you to join us at Long Chimney for a truly enjoyable break. The cottages have been fully redecorated Spring 2012, carpets have also been cleaned throughout Spring 2012 to maintain the high quality we offer. Our prices are fully inclusive including VAT no other charges are made apart for breakages (minor ones excluded). Should you wish to pre-arrange our babysitting service please telephone in advance to book. Well & Flint Cottages accept small to medium size
dogs, however they must not be left in the cottages on their own.
